72 programmable LCD push buttons, Ethernet-based control, multiple switching levels, direct “take” panel, full matrix control capability and touch screen.
The Touch 72 programmable, Ethernet-based control panel is a multiple switching level, direct “take” panel with full matrix control capability. It includes 72 programmable LCD push button switches in an 18×4 configuration, along with a color touch-screen display that shows the continuous status of destination, source, preset, level, and lock information. User menus allow extended pages of sources or destinations. Touch 72 can be configured on the fly for alternative modes of operation or different sets of source and destination configurations.
Each button provides 3 rows of 6 characters that may be used to identify each switch, and individual switch background colors can be assigned as well. Names are dynamically updated on each affected LCD switch as the system configuration is changed. If desired, a 24×36 graphic may be programmed for each button instead of text.
The Touch 72 operates in a network environment and includes a built-in two port Ethernet switch and two RJ45 network connections to support daisy-chain configurations or standard home-run network wiring topology for each panel.
Get a Robust and Fully Engaged Control Interface with PESA’s Cattrax Control Software
Cattrax is PESA’s router setup and control software offering administrators and workflow designers a distinct interface to configure and monitor real-time switching environments. As an intuitive, feature-rich interface, Cattrax offers incredible “easy-to-use” capabilities to setup multiple routing switcher frames, control panels, and edge devices for signal conversion and scaling.
The software automatically synchronizes with the routing system to retrieve configuration information, including switch settings, source names, destination names, salvos, levels, break-aways, and other health and diagnostics information necessary to maintain a healthy router system. Cattrax provides a quick interface to make switch commands, fire salvos and perform multi-destination takes without the need for external hardware panels. It also provides an easy method of saving files for backup or reloading configuration files for fast retrieval when multiple I/O settings are needed during events such as live broadcast or staging events.
The Touch 72 remote control panel provides 72 push button keys and a touch sensitive display screen for operator interface. Each push button key may be configured to select a router system resource or control function and display the text or graphic label associated with the resource or function.
Time Status Display Area
Source – Indicates the source group currently switched to the destination controlled by the panel on the indicated switching level.
Preset – When operating in Preset Mode, this line indicates the source group selected to become the active source when a “take” is initiated.
Destination – Indicates the router destination group currently controlled by the panel. Unless a different destination is selected using a push button key, the active destination of the panel is the default destination entered during panel configuration through Cattrax.
Level – Indicates the highest ranking switching level on which the panel is currently showing status.
Active Page – Indicates the currently selected page of push button key assignments.
Online/Offline Status Display
Indicates the current operating status of the Touch 72 panel.
Mode Select & Panel Control Buttons Display Area
Direct Take – Selects the Direct Take mode of panel operation, whereby a switch on the active destination occurs immediately whenever a source button is pressed.
Select Preset – Selects the Preset mode of operation, whereby a selected source is placed in a “preset” queue, but is not actually switched to the destination until the “Take” function is initiated. When the panel is operating in preset mode, the currently active source and the preset source are toggled in the preset queue when the take function is initiated.
Clear Preset – Clears the currently selected preset source.
Level Select – Opens a display screen of all available switching levels for the controller configuration. You may select one or more levels on which you wish to make a breakaway switch, or you may select “All Levels” to cause the switch to simultaneously occur on all levels. If multiple levels are selected, any switch initiated will occur on all selected levels; however, the panel always displays status of the highest ranking selected level.
Page Select – Opens a display screen of all available push button assignment pages. Press any button to select that page.
Menu – Opens a display of menu options as shown here. Pressing the About button displays the panel software revisions and panel operating parameters. The Back Light button allows you to select the backlight brightness for the push button keys.
Destination Lock/Protect Status Display
The button directly beneath the online status display allows you toggle the destination protect capability.
Switch “Take” Button
When the panel is operating in the Preset switching mode, pressing the Take button initiates the switch.
