EIGHT SELECTABLE SECURITY DOMAIN ASSIGNMENTS

Scrambling SDI video content for authorized viewing

Vidblox HTR

Overview

PESA Vidblox HTR-S integrates with our legendary Fusion and Cheetah based digital video distribution systems that carry critical media signals in demanding environments. The Vidblox HTR-S features a patent pending method for scrambling the SDI video, protecting the content and only allowing authorized viewing.

Vidblox HTR-S Recievers

Vidblox HTR-S receivers decode individually secured media flow(s) from the matrix-based router, restoring and de-scrambling corresponding secured media, with a patent pending algorithm, to its native HDMI format according to the authorization that is granted for each given media signal.

Vidblox HTR-S Transmitters

Used for matrix-based architectures (SDI /baseband), PESA Vidblox HTR-S transmitters convert HDMI sources to SDI baseband signals. Vidblox HTR-S connects to the matrix using traditional SDI coax or fiber cables, and secures the source media using a proprietary, patent-pending algorithm that alters and protects the SDI transport signal. Once secured, audio and video signals become unusable until it is processed by the corresponding Vidblox HTR-S Receiver. Each Vidblox HTR-S Transmitter is programmed to the unique classification of the source device and can manage up to eight (8) unique classifications as security domains for isolated transmission through the system. Vidblox HTR-S Transmitter also manages multi-domain signals which it transmits to the central matrix while retaining its unique security parameters.

Features

  • Scrambled video for all selected levels
  • Extend HDMI, DVI-D or display port video and stereo audio over fiber up to 10km
  • Extend HDMI, DVI-D or display port video and stereo audio over a coax cable up to 80m
  • Accepts inputs up to 1920 x 1200 @ 60 Hz (WUXGA)
  • HDCP encrypted HDMI input securely managed
  • Allows up to four 720p/1080i/1080p outputs per module
  • LCD front panel display for monitoring and trouble shooting
  • EDID emulation mode
  • User configurable resolution setup
  • 12 internal test patterns for testing and calibration
  • Rack mount and under-table mounting brackets available
  • 10/100 network interface for control system
  • Redundant power in 2RU extender frame
Flexible Configuration

• Each Vidblox HTR-S device can be configured as either a transmitter or receiver using Cattrax software.
• Setup, control and monitoring of Vidblox HTR-S modules may be performed using PESA’s Secura Control system.
• Modules communicate with Cattrax over an Ethernet network, or a single module may be connected directly to the host PC using a USB connection.

Segregate Video/Audio

• With Vidblox HTR-S users can now easily segregate sensitive audio and video content within large SDI matrix engines.

Scrambling Algorithm
Patent Pending Scrambling Algorithm

• Vidblox HTR-S uses PESA’s patent-pending scrambling format on the SDI signals ensures only authorized users can receive restricted audio and video signals.

Flexible Connections: Coax, Fiber or Both

• Vidlbox HTR-S supports both coax and fiber configurations.
• Fiber can be either Single Mode or Multi-Mode provided by an optional duplex SFP module.
• Flexibility provides the HTR with a wide range of capabilities for mission-critical redundancy or system-backup requirements.

SMPTE Compliant

• Vidblox HTR-S transports HDMI media source signals over a secure, encoded, SMPTE compliant HD/3G-SDI transport stream at resolutions up to 1080p/60.

User Proof HDCP Encryption

• If the HDMI input source is HDCP encrypted, SDI encryption is automatically enabled by the Vidblox HTR-S TX module and cannot be disabled by the user.
• This encrypted SDI transport signal is non-viewable and requires a corresponding HTR receiver with the same level of authorization.
• The decrypted HDMI signal shall maintain the full HDCP encryption of the original signal.

Remote
Remote Operation

• Once a module is configured, it is not necessary to maintain connection to the host PC or to the Ethernet network for operation.
